About Sinh Thai Bon Phuong Agricultural Cooperative Coffee Farm

The farm's name, "Sinh Thai Bon Phuong," which translates to "four directions eco-system" in English, reveals the owners’ determination of growing organic and environmentally friendly coffee.

Sinh Thai Bon Phuong Coffee Farm is an agricultural cooperative in Quang Tri Province with a one-hundred-year history of coffee cultivation.

Mr. Duy Phuong and his team, who are also local coffee farmers, have been farming sustainable coffee for ten years and have faced many challenges. At first, they had to persuade other local farmers to join them in cultivating sustainable coffee, as well as provide mental, financial, and technical help to those growers.

Second, the cooperative was young and inexperienced when it opted to switch from standard farming methods to organic and natural ones. The Sinh Thai Bon Phuong team learned the coffee-growing process through books, research, and government-sponsored coffee-cultivation projects.

They've come a long way to get to where they are now.

Sinh Thai Bon Phuong Coffee Farm cultivates its coffee naturally, without the use of plant protection drugs or synthetic chemicals (pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers). As a result, the farm is now more efficient and sustainable in producing high-quality, specialty green coffee beans.

Mr. Duy Phuong told VCA that cultivating coffee organically has benefited him, the local farmers, and the environment as a whole. He and his team have increased their farm's productivity with outstanding taste products, increased income stability, improved community health, and most importantly, created a sustainable environment for the future generation of coffee farmers in Quang Tri Province.
